BonJour, Paris!

In February we headed to Paris, France. We were headed to Disneyland but took an afternoon to go to Paris! One day we are going back and going to see everything else there is to see and hopefully with better weather :) We drove there it was about a 4 hour drive with 1 stop for gas and potty breaks. It was kind of intimidating driving to another country from another, once we did it, it was so worth it!  Enjoy!

On our drive to France, they had all kind of eye catching things, to keep you alert on the road.

We hopped on the train from Disney to head into Paris to see the  Eiffel Tower!

This was the kid's, first train ride!

As we were waiting for the train to go, this guy was giving directions, we thought he worked for the train system. As the train took off he came and gave us a card, didn't speak a word, and he was asking for money. We politely declined, and he was very ugly about it!

Next time, we head this way, we are doing this tour bus :)

Nutella crepes and waffles. YUM!

Ain't she a beauty with my babies?!

The Eiffel Tower was SO breath taking!

Kissy, kissy, love this man!

My favorite picture of my family.

Getting closer, there was a LONG line, it got cold and began to mist! We toughed it out though :)

Waiting in the LONG line to buy our tickets to head up the Tower!

In France, we had to get FRENCH fries, they tasted pretty good too :)

This was in the elevator that took us up, and a few other ones all throughout the place.

As we were walking away to head back to the train station!
We got back to our room around 1030pm that night. The kids were all asleep on the train, we were the last ones, as we got off they were shutting the doors and the lights. Only problem is that Logan and I were still on the train!! My awesome muscle man of a husband pushed the doors apart with a sleeping child in his arms, slight fear in his face, RIPPED them open and we were free! While this was happening the guy over the speaker kept yelling in an African accent with a little french twang, "All passengers off the train!!"

I love that man! Au Revior

Bäckerei

The Bakery, down the road from Gabrielle's bus stop.
Showing off their goodies :)
That is how you say/spell Bakery in German. We went for the first time last week, yes we have been here for 5 months (today, crazy) and have  not gone yet. I am not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing :)  Today we went as well, after we walked and picked up Gabrielle from the bus.  The kids were allowed to pick out their own treat and I picked some out for Matt and I. I was bummed the two things I wanted were not there today. There is always next time though :)

We got some exercise in for the day as well, by walking to the bus, to the bakery, and then back home (while we ate our treats)!!

Sunshine!

Today we had some sun and some nicer weather! The kids got up from their naps and headed outside to finally ride their scooters!

They were pretending Kaiden's scooter was a boat!

She said it feels like spring!! We are ready for spring weather for sure!
He was so happy to have his scooter back to play with!  Kaiden showing me his cool tricks!
Gabrielle's famous princess, she always draws. :)

Hope you have/had a good Saturday and weekend :)

Finally!

Gabrielle has now lost her 6th tooth! This tooth has been hanging on buy a tiny root for a few days now. Yesterday it was stuck facing out and would not go back, so when she closed her mouth the tooth was on the outside of her lip. It was SO funny, but she was ready for it to move again. She lost her first one over a year ago. She was only 4 then! I am still shocked, because she got her teeth later than normal, and now losing them earlier than normal, well average.  Every time she loses one, shecries, because she is SO happy, she says :) She makes me so proud!
Here she is, ready for bed! With her Tooth Fairy bag in hand.

Gabrielle wrote a note to the Tooth Fairy and drew her a picture! Fairy dusty, legs to her bed, and eyes closed! She is a creative one :)
When she lost her first tooth we were not prepared. I do want to buy the kids the tooth fairy pillows, but a plastic baggie is the best we could do at the time! Now it has stuck and this is what we do until I buy a tooth fairy pillow.
Gabrielle's tooth! Her top right one!

SO proud!! My sweet little hillbilly :)
She needs to SLOW down!!! She will soon be 6 and we are having fun planning her birthday party :)

Pinterest Saves the day!

I have a new obsession and it is Pinterest! If you have not checked it out, please do. Talk to me and I will send you an invite to join! It is where I have got all my recipes for snacks, treats, and meals! Also crafts for my kids, projects for me, and awesome quotes. The list goes on and on and it is a good addiction to have I think :) Just wish we had a Hobby Lobby to help me get all of these ideas done, that I want to get done :( The kids did not have school one Friday so we stayed home, had PJ (pajama day) day and rolled with the punches!

Every meal we have been having a heaping portion of fruit and we all love it! Here is Gabrielle's with 2 strawberries in her mouth, acting like a chipmunk!

Logan signing "more" at dinner.
Logan is getting so good at using his sign language. I need to do some more studying and learn more signs. He is very good at "more" and "please" anytime he wants something he will do "more" and "please" OVER and over again. It is super cute. :)

My Kaiden boy, showing up his sister, being a chipmunk :)

Now onto wonderful Pinterest ideas!
Did you know that after you use a green onion save the white part and put it in water and it GROWS again! I just did this and they were all over the place. I cut them up and put them in a dried water bottle, then put them in the freezer. Another Pinterest idea! So, when I need green onions again, I open the freezer door grab the bottle and pour into my pan and cook away! Who knew?!

Growing up, my Grandma Burnett always made homemade chicken and noodles. I helped her a lot, but I was too young to remember how to do it or probably even to write well enough. Also, to young to think that one day, I will be a wife and a mom and want to share recipes with my family. Now that, that time has come I wish I would of thought about me growing older and wanting recipes from people that are no longer here. My grandma made the BEST Christmas candy, which I have no recipes for either. Back to her chicken noodles, hers were SO thin and just amazing. Well I looked on pinterest (because they do not have frozen noodles like these here, and people have looked at me like I was nuts, when I asked about them), I found some. Made them and tried to roll them out as thin as I could. Well, going to a new class at the gym the day before was not a good idea. I could not roll them any thiner, they looked fine to me. Till I cooked them, they blew up. I am not a fan of thick noodles at all. My Grandma probably rolled her eyes and gave me some colorful words as she saw me make these. :) I then got the recipe from one of her sons, my Uncle Don. Next time I will be following her recipe, and making my strong husband roll out the noodles, thin, the way they are supposed to be! The family did enjoy my chicken noodle soup though, there were no complaints there!

Not a pinterest idea, but this was done the day the kids had no school. They got almost every blanket out known to man in our house. Cleared the table and made a tent/fort! They made sure there was no light sneaking in and had a blast giggling and playing under the table. I enjoyed hearing their giggles :)

They are such good friends, and I pray they stay this way!

The other pinterest idea, was painting on Canvas with toliet paper rolls! I cut them in half and put paint on paper plates.
Each color had its own designated roll, (OCD on my part, maybe?).

Gabrielle is very much into art, coloring, drawing, and writing right now. This was right up her alley.

Their finished products with names, circles, and a painting of themselves! <3 them babies!

Kaiden turns 4!

HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY KAIDEN!!!

I can not believe that my baby boy has turned 4!
He was born January 7th 2008. He came 10 days early, weighing 7lbs 2oz. We believe he came early to spend more time with daddy, before he deployed to Iraq for 13+ months. Matt deployed when he was 2 weeks old and came home when he was 13 1/2 months old! Kaiden was not the easiest baby to deal with, still wondering why this all worked the way it did, but I will just leave it at God has a sense of humor, I do not understand sometimes :) He keeps us on our toes that is for sure! I love him to pieces though, he has one of the biggest hearts! Kaiden loves babies, kids, animals,  just about everything! He is always giving us kisses and hugs. Tells me I love you mom, you are the one I am going to marry. Just melts my heart!

Here he is on his Birthday morning! 4 YEARS OLD!!! :)

At his party waiting for his friends to show up at the bowling alley.
We have found something Kaiden is good at and loves! Makes me very happy.
My 3 boys, couldn't be any happier to call them my sons and husband.
Those two love each other so much.
 Momma and the birthday boy.
Showing off at the bowling alley, he loves it!
The German candle I got..which really was a sparkler! haha!
Make a wish and wait for the sparkler to go out!
Cake and Ice cream, well pretty much milk by then :)
Eating the Knight!
One of his presents, Thor mask and hammer

Very neat German Knight and Horse from mom and dad.
THE cake! It tasted great and looked amazing!!

Until next year little guy! Mommy and daddy LOVE you SO much!!!
